It came from outta my socks drawer..
...the dark central stone, that is. Falling on Arizona (it wasn't called that then) between 20-40,000 ago, it's a small iron meteorite about 1.5 cms across.
The other small stones came with some fossils we bought, and the longer foot shaped stone was picked up from the beach many years ago.
If you're very good, I'll let you know the meteorite's structural and chemical class tomorrow, Can't wait? Oh well, part of its structural class is Widmanstatten bandwidth 2.0 + 0.5mm.
Many thanks to ApolloFly and Nicoiseannie for hosting.
