Thirsty Wasp

When the sun goes around the corner of the balcony and the solar fountain stops running,  the wasps come to drink.

Funny, I offer a much bigger bowl of water in the heat for birds and insects. I watched a dove there today,  but never a single wasp. The water in the bowl is shallow,  too. I wonder what makes the difference for the wasps.
If the wasps come too close to me while I'm sitting out there watching them, I diffuse tab water with a tiny spray bottle around me (not directly on the wasps) and they take off. Best anti-wasp weapon! Refreshing for me, too. I carry the little bottle around with me when I visit cafés or restaurants in summer. Works perfect. 

Otherwise a day of rest after yesterday's cycling tour. I'm still testing how far I can go without overdoing it for the knee and the other aching body parts.
