Hartlebury Castle And Museum

We had to go across the border into Worcestershire today  and on the way home we called in at Hartlebury Castle. 

It is a place I have been past, but never visited.

Due to time constraints we couldn't explore the many attractions but we did enjoy a cooked breakfast in the splendid cafe.

It is a place we will revisit in future and  explore more fully.

I attach a link to give more historic detail for those who might be interested. It is worth reading. The 'Castle' was actually a fortified Manor house and the home to the Bishops of Worcester right up until 2007.

The stories of the Bishops are fascinating. 

The museum looks worth a peek and the cafe is a must. They sell cake.
