Elephants

It was a cool cloudy start to the day as set off for the gym. After an enjoyable sprint cycle class I quickly showered and walked to the railway station. I was heading into Exeter taking the hard drives in to see if any data could be recovered.

The train in was only two carriages and was almost full at its starting point ie Exmouth. Shortly into the journey we all became aware of an argument between a mother with 3 children and a man who objected to the daughter having her feet on the seat. She was very vocal and he quickly got himself into trouble by saying he would take her feet off and later trying to take a photograph of her. She eventually got hold of the inspector but by then we had arrived at my destination and l happily got off the train.

The company confirmed that the data had been wiped from both disks and will attempt to recover some from my photography drive. So a lesson learned ie not to have your external photography hard drive using the main computer backup drive as a backup. I still am very surprised that a thing called toolkit which l now think is software associated with the hard drives can actually erase existing drives without informing you that you would loose data.

Anyway today’s blip is a rather nice stone ornament of a mother elephant and baby in a minimalistic way.
