7.45am saw me queuing outside my GP Surgery waiting for it to open at 8, when we were allowed in, one at a time, to plead for an appointment. I got one, went home to have my breakfast and went back.

The doctor was surprised that I hadn't been sent for an MRI scan four months ago when the sciatica was at its worst. She said she couldn't refer me for a scan now because my condition had improved, but suggested referring me to the MSK specialist team (musculoskeletal) who would examine, assess and recommend. I was quite happy with this, and hopefully I won't have to wait too long.

Some people in the queue outside were complaining about having to wait outside, going in one at a time... you name it, they were complaining about it. Apparently there are two GP practices in Mickleover, each one is meant to manage 2,000 patients, but each has around 8,000.... it's no wonder that everything is stretched!

I worked on the emotional support chicken I'm knitting for my daughter, and hurrah, the Pride chicken can see! Just a bit more to do.
