Peak middle age...

You know you're getting on a bit when your Sunday makes you happy by giving time to do this. I was up till 2am with a wedding then in the kitchen at 9am for breakfast service then cleaning up the aftermath. I'm sure people think we just sit around during the week between weddings. It's fascinating to watch them realise the sheer scale of the clean up and general upkeep of a house like this. It's neverending. Still, it's worth all the hard work to live in a fabulous house.
