Aaron was nice enough to accompany me to Shifnal's Acoustafoam Stadium to watch Boro's trip to Shropshire. It's a great little set-up there and a treat to be able to watch football in the sun with a cold beer.

The first half was fairly even without too many clear chances but a penalty for Shifnal gave them a 1-0 lead at halftime. I took the opportunity of being able to move around freely to get a photo of the players, including Jack Sherratt here, as they came off the pitch heading for the changing rooms.

The second half was a completely different story with Shifnal looking easily the more enthusiastic deservedly scoring with a well taken finish before a few minutes later a goalkeeping 'howler' gifting them a third for a well deserved win. Rangers started to get frustrated and there was a bit of agro down towards the corner we were at that saw a Shifnal player throwing his weight around and the ref throwing a red card in his direction.

I even made a friend as a lady came to talk to me about my replica 1979 FA Trophy winning Stafford shirt. She didn't seem to believe that I'd bought it from the club when I was still living in Stafford.
