Putt's goin' on?
D was playing in a golf competition in Edinburgh this morning and left around 7.15am. I mumbled good luck from the comfort of my bed as he left, and snoozed on till 9am.
I spent this afternoon re-sketching the design for S & L's slate. It will still feature thistles and the name of their new house, but in a much more simplified design. The background I've painted on the current slate will be perfect for Anna so I will start S&L's design on a new slate.
D returned from golf having had a great time, even though the course was very hilly and steep in places. He said the views were spectacular and sent me a photo that one of his golf pals had taken of him about to putt, the city of Edinburgh and Arthur's Seat in the background. I don't have many pics on D playing golf in my journal so this top trumps the blip I had planned :-)
Before D got settled in the Gin Palace with a coffee, he brought four roof tiles in from the garage and scrubbed them clean for me. No bird poo on any of them so that was a bonus :-) I selected one and prepped it with gesso so it will be ready to paint on whenever I get it back to it, probably Monday as we're going to Ele and Kenny's tomorrow. I need to get a move on with it as I need to have it painted and Anna and Faith's slates by a week on Wednesday, when my attention will turn to packing for the Outer Hebrides.
Dinner of chicken drumsticks with Caribbean jerk seasoning and salad with a Greek yogurt, lemon and chive dressing.
Thank you for the lovely comments, stars and hearts on Alan's birthday blip yesterday :-) x
