Another day, Another bench
Saltburn has a lot of benches. I suppose it’s to be expected as it’s a seaside tourist town with lots of visitors. But it still makes me smile every time I round a corner or take a new path in the woods, there’s another bench!
I didn’t get out quite so early with the dogs this morning as I had hoped, consequently the woodland walk I took them on was quite busy.
There was something called Smugglers Scooter Club Rally going on nearby, the noise from that was quite a pleasant background; the miniature train was running down below in the valley and the toot toot from that was unmistakable but as for photo op’s for my blip today, it was a bit limited.
This walk down to the valley gardens was absolutely glorious early in the year, with the blossom trees and the wild garlic, but I had trouble today finding anything much to photograph. In the end this turned out to be the best one.
The rest of the day has been fairly routine, or at least what counts for routine at the moment. I’d forgotten just how early Callum likes his first cuppa. Usually I sleep through his early bird pattern and when I wake up the tea is luke warm verging on cold by the side of the bed but of course I’m getting up when he does now!
Anyway, he’s making good progress which is the main thing. I am a little behind on catching up with journals, so apologies for that.
