On my travels...

It's all go in our family at the moment: following Son#2's cardiac treatment on Thursday, we had a message from Toronto that our new grandchild was likely to arrive rather earlier than expected: my Editor & I had been booked to travel there on August 27th in time for the baby's due date of 31st (to look after Grandson P and Granddog Oona)! Cue a slightly frantic time on the internet to find an early flight (made a little trickier because Air Canada cabin crew have just gone on strike!).

Son#2 is doing OK although he's had a nasty migraine each day since Thursday (he's prone to them) so my Editor has decided to stay back to help his partner F to look after him for a few more days. So this afternoon I took a train on my own to Manchester Airport for a flight to Toronto tomorrow. I'll stay for almost 2 weeks then pop back home for a few days before joining my Editor on a longer trip to Toronto (having rescheduled our original flights!)
