Mary Arden's Farm

If you're familiar with Shakespeare you'll know his mother was Mary Arden. Her home was in Wilmcote. Three miles away from where we live. The farm which was always thought to be her home turned out not be and the house next door was her actual home.
The whole property closed down around the time of Covid and never properly reopened . It has now become a centre for early learning and is not open to the general public normally.
But today they had an open day and we went along , we were a bit disappointed to find there wasn't a ticket for the tour of the farmhouse for several hours so we missed out on that. The animals and displays were interesting though.
Main photo is some beautiful Buff Orpington cockerels and in the collage , a cider mill, an old spot piglet some beams, the front door and the dovecote roof.
