Aye, Aye, Skipper

It was a treat to spot this Peck’s Skipper in the river garden skipping from one echinacea to another. It’s a beautiful sunny day for outdoor activities • Some weeding got done; next we thoroughly cleaned the hummer feeders for storage but left one out filled with freshly made nectar. I’ve only seen two and know they’re in preparation for their long trip south. The male will leave first, then the female, with any born this summer departing last.
