Garden Spider
What a busy day. Its my parents last day with us. They're driving down to Paris tomorrow morning to spend some time with my sister, Hannah.
Today has been busy. This morning, my dad and I ran some errands. We went to the second-hand shop to drop the last of Little Man's toys off, which he hasn't played with in months. We also went to the storage unit to leave some stuff. I also wanted to see if my old journals were there, but they weren't. I have no idea where they are (or if they've been thrown away). Its heartbreaking, because I had been planning on using them to write an autobiography of my life.
Then this afternoon we went back to the Reeuwijkse Hout for lunch. I got stung, inside my mouth, by a bee. It had crawled into a slice of ham, and I didn't see it when I put it in my mouth. Thankfully, the bee's stinger didn't get stuck, but my face and lower lip swelled up. My mum gave me some antihistamine and that's really helped.
Little Man had an appointment at the hospital for some bloods to be taken, for some tests. My dad came in, to hold Little Man, who did brilliantly.
We also went out for dinner at the restaurant down the road. Its been an interesting but good last day with my parents.
Thankfully today has been a few degrees cooler than it has has been. The high was 28⁰C (82.4⁰F).
This is a European Garden Spider. They're harmless to humans and are really good at helping keep the insect population down.
