Orange-bottomed bee

The thistles in the garden have been attracting a huge number of different coloured and shaped bees. I'm sure that most gardeners would have pulled them out as weeds long ago, but the insects that come to them in the summer mean that I'm happy to leave them where they are. The bees are there late into the evening which is good for me at the moment!
