Five a day
I'm pulling up about five onions every day as a lot of them are ready now and most of them are a good size, it's just that I can't carry very many at once up to the Mas, so at least something's done well out of the vegetables this year!
In a 'normal' year our tomato crop is coming to an end by the beginning of September, when the weather is usually turning colder and damper. But this year we've had a lot of cold and damp during the summer, interspersed with calm hot spells of course, and the poor old tomatoes have never really got going.
As for everything else, the beetroot are small, the French beans aren't being terribly productive although they're no worse than usual, and both the melon and butternut squash plants are way behind. I did spot one tiny squash developing, and there are several miniscule melons, but I just don't think they're going to have time to grow to maturity. Oh well, better luck next year!
