Botown

Wrote, then worked from home, meaning I had a long walk to the gym and back at lunchtime! Beautiful sunny day with a breeze.

This evening I went to see a Bollywood band from London, in one of our loveliest parks. They were great, and had a lot of people up dancing (including me). Stopped dead on nine though, no encore, must be park rules!

I went to get a coffee in the interval, navigating by hazy memory to the cafe in the playground. It was surreal to enter the same playground I loved as a child except it’s now got a blue and yellow soft surface, and the ‘dangerous’ (but fun) apparatus is long gone! But the cafe, benches, exotic plants, etc. don’t seem to have changed at all. Very strange feeling!
