Sun flowers

Left the village today and heading to Segovia. We saw fields and fields of sunflowers in varying stages of growth.   En route we did a detour to go to an area where we were told vultures were seen regularly - extra - a lovely oxbow lake with high cliffs and a chapel.  A long hot walk down towards the chapel in searing heat! I did not get to the chapel but found a pleasant rock in some shade and sat, watching the birds circling..... Most were far too far away but I got one shot of which I was proud!  Back to the car - where the temp said 36˚.  Far too hot... We went in search of more water/drink before continuing the drive.  This new hotel is right in the city so there will be more walking but hopefully not in bright sun|!
Had a delicious supper before finding an ice cream and heading back to the hotel - gone 11.00 pm and heading for bed....
