River of Flowers

Friday: Veggies Are GO …

… hope I’m not speaking too soon! My only surviving Courgette plant has grown well, I’ve been watering it and earthed it up with fresh compost and it’s had some freshly cut grass mowings as a mulch, pampering which I’m hoping will pay off - first flower almost open and it has a baby courgette attached, could end in tears! Fingers crossed … :-))

The runner beans - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/3394761078381479868 - have just grown steadily, they’ve also been mulched and watered and now have FLOWERS … been a few years since I’ve had beans from the garden, more crossing fingers …

Recovering from yesterday’s hospital appointment with a lazy afternoon of reading a book by an author who never disappoints, see yesterday’s Blip and watched a couple of episodes of George Gently this evening, with very dark storylines :-((

Today’s Blip is of a beautiful Carder Bee who was enjoying the purple toadflax growing next to the Courgette - EXTRAS for photos of the veggies :-))
