Dahlia

Our usual coffee and cake trip with Kanyl.  This week we headed towards Dobbies.  I will be glad when they eventually open the Carlisle south by-pass/link road whatever they call it.  Currently we are taking all sorts of minor roads cross country rather than our usual up the m6 and across a fairly short road that is however closed because of the works.

In summer as always you are spoiled for choice in a garden centre.  As always I took lots of shots of lots of flowers.  I chose this one because "it breaks the habits of a life time" (well along time anyway).  I like to show the whole flower not a clump and not a part.  However for some reason the pattern created by the petals attracted me.  Another long time habit I broke with this shot is I always take a shot of the label to know the name etc.  Not this time.
