The Tabby Terrorist

When we first brought Jax home as a 4-month old puppy, he’d never seen a cat and had no idea if they were friend or foe. The cats (Phoebe was still alive then) wisely removed themselves to the gated-off upstairs area to plot and plan. Jax and the cats eventually made their peace although Charlie (the ginger tabby) has continued to plot and plan. He basically terrorizes Jax but does so in mostly subtle ways. In this instance, Jax was in one of the desired sun-spots right in front of the door. Charlie wanted the spot for himself so he went and sat as close to Jax as he possibly could. Jax yawned and licked his lips (doggy signs of discomfort or unease) and eventually gave up the primo spot to Charlie.

This is just a normal day here - the 12-pound senior cat totally rules the 65-pound pitbull/catahoula/cattle dog mix.

Waiting for besties Peg and Kura to arrive for the weekend. Ellen will join us tomorrow and the circle will be complete!

Xoxo
Debbi
