Perrygrove railway station

Started the day with a ride on the Perrygrove railway. A tiny but lovely railway with impressive curves and inclines that pack as much railway as possible into a small space. But dry woodland and steam trains aren’t the best mix. The second train of the day was delayed due to a line-side fire next to one of the play areas. You can just see the smoke behind the last carriage in this shot. I think they were discussing switching to diesel as we left.
Next we headed to the Forest of Dean Sculpture trail. It was a lovely walk in the woods but the sculpture was a bit disappointing.
Ended the day visiting Goodrich castle which was great.
