Sour happy memories

My Flower Friday image this week is a ‘weed’ commonly called ‘sour grass’ but also apparently Bermuda Buttercup (amongst other names). They are popping up everywhere around us right now, bringing back fun memories from when we were kids and used to pick and chew on the sour stems of this gorgeous little flower. Needless to say it is classed as an invasive species in Australia and the sour taste is Oxalic acid which is not great for livestock or humans :)
