Flower Friday.....Rose

The roses seem to be coping, despite the heat and very little watering.  I'm afraid I  haven't the time or inclination to take an endless number of watering cans full of water, to water every plant in the garden.  The vegetables take priority! This is a Comte de Chambord, one of my favourites, transferred from my last garden, and flowering even better here. 
The monthly book group met this afternoon, and a lively discussion took place on 'Deeds not Words,' the story of women's rights. We all had some interesting experiences to relate and opinions to give. We have certainly come a long way in terms of equality!
