Day 7 Cycling in Bavaria

Our last day of cycling! 65 km back to Munich. Our route followed the River Isar cycle path, all the way into Munich. In one section there is a canal shown here, with many large rafts full of jolly sounding people and music drifting slowly. Along the towpath there were many graceful roller bladers, cyclists, sporty and amateur, families with prams, and the odd skier on wheels! Having started early we covered 50km before stopping for a pub lunch of bier in a traditional pottery mug, eggy noodles and a giant pretzel.
The cycle routes have all been most impressive, right into the city centre, where we entered to the sound of a peal of church bells.
So ended our cycling tour, flying back to Gatwick tomorrow evening.
