Wattle
Acacia or wattle is our National Flower. There are hundreds of varieties and these are flowering in the mountains at the moment. It was sunny today after miserable weather while we were there for our short stay. This is at the Airbnb and the extra is another bush, hard to get in focus with the phone as they are very fluffy.
We are pleased to be home. Nina booked cheap accommodation which was reflected in the size of the place and no where to sit comfortably. It was a bit like being in a caravan with 3 of us there. The double bed was against the wall which made it hard for the person on the wall side to get in and out. Bob doesn’t sleep when away from home. After what seems like ages he gets up and works on his computer which doesn’t bother me as I’m used to it but we felt sorry for Maddy in her single bed so close. It was disappointing as our last mountain stay was also cut short by inadequate accommodation. The place was very quiet and tranquil and clean and for a couple who are out bushwalking all day was suitable.
I had half an hour at home to unpack before heading out for a lunch date with Bryan H, an old work colleague. We had changing roles in 3 different workplaces and always got on well even though he is 20 years younger than me. Of course we chatted non stop. His kids are now at uni, I remember them as preschoolers.
Sorry I have been away from blip comments. The wifi was pretty bad where we were staying. It was nice having a rest from the news while we were there.
