Juvenile Male ...
... Ruby-throated Hummingbird.
We got out early again this morning in order to beat the heat of the day. We went to Louise Moore County park for a lovely walk before returning home.
We were home for the better part of the day only going back out for our normal Thursday night supper out. I had a lot of fun using the 600mm lens to capture tons of hummingbird photos. This is our resident juvenile male ... probably born earlier this summer. He seems to know what he's doing ... going from flower to flower. Sadly, there's only a couple of more weeks to enjoy these beautiful summer birds before they start migrating south. Sigh.
In other news: We released another Monarch Butterfly (#11) from our nursery this afternoon. She was released in memory of the poor little American Robin fledge that we weren't able to save last Saturday.
