Ethereal fog, spectacular sea
I love fog, mist, and liminal weather.
Sue's brother and sister-in-law spent much of the day with us (see first extra), during part of that time admiring Sue's gardening expertise. Sue is growing native plants on their family land, including a marvelous wildflower called Yorkia or Clarkia (second extra, especially for walkingMarj who loves wildflowers). Yorkia also grows in California and was used by indigenous people as a food source. York was the enslaved man who led much of the William and Clark Expedition, and I wrote about him in 2020, at which time I didn't yet know about Yorkia (or Clarkia). [Correction that blip was 2021. Oh well. Who's counting?]
After Sue's brother and sister-in-law left us, we donned jackets and took a modest walk along the coastal path and sat on a bench watching massive waves crash into retreating waters from preceding waves (main blip). Phytoplankton were also involved, and fog, mist, and cool air.
