Tide’s Out

In Staithes.
It was a lovely day, we didn’t go anywhere except walking round the local area. 
Frank sat outside the cottage sketching and I read my new book - another Kristin  Hannah - The Four Winds. I’m already hooked, she is an excellent writer.
In the afternoon we went to pub at the harbour and Frank took his guitar. People soon gathered and sang along and clapped, they all loved it. We also chatted to a lovely couple who, between them had 22 grandchildren!
They were in their early 60’s.
There was a young seagull sitting nearby waiting for tidbits. I do love the seagulls even though their screeching is deafening! He was there for a couple of hours just watching and waiting.
I was watching a dad and his wee girl making a sandcastle with a moat, there are lots of families here enjoying the sun, sand and sea.
My knee is still playing up and there are lots of up and down steps and hills and cobbled streets. I’m being very careful.
