Nectar

Cut some of the dead growth off the Buddleia, the aim being to expose the new flowers below, and make them more accessible to the butterflies.
And it only took a couple of minutes before a couple of Red Admirals appeared and started harvesting nectar. Quite pleased that I was able to capture this one with its proboscis actually in the centre of the flower.
I took advantage of it being slightly cooler and overcast today, and mowed the lawns as well. Though, when the sun finally came out about halfway through, it did get a bit hot and sweaty out there. Now sitting inside trying to cool down, but there’s not much of a breeze coming through the doors and windows at the moment. Will probably have to wait until sunset for temperatures to become comfortable again…
