Celebrations

Today is Joanne's birthday - she will hopefully be here tomorrow and we are planning a barbecue party. 

There may be champagne, as we are also celebrating (in her absence) Alice's success in her A levels. She now has a place at the University of Leeds to study Criminology and Criminal Law - she is very excited about it. Of course we know Leeds very well, a good place to be a student. Both G and I did a Master’s Degree at the University - a long time ago!

A massive food shopping trip this morning. It might have been a good idea to buy a cake - not good weather for baking cakes, but it's done. Other stuff done too. Just a Pavlova to make now. 

Visitors arriving late tonight and more tomorrow.  

(Someone will no doubt tell me what these flowers are and will also warn me to get rid of the pollen!)
