Took the scenic route to Portland. The Maine that we saw is a place of lobster pounds, flea markets, yard sales, antique stores and roadside stalls selling all manner of stuff.

Portland has a regenerated dockland warehouse district in brick and stone. Restaurants, breweries and lots of bakeries. We had dinner in a grown-up place, with it's own on site distillery.
