Day of the Doggo

I mentioned in yesterday's blip that Shadow had hurt her leg? Well yes, motivated by food above all else, she had apparently climbed up a garden wall for some stale bread put out for the birds...possibly jumped from an adjacent bit that she can get to easily...and when discovered, leapt to the ground instead of waiting to be lifted down.

We took her to the vets from where her bones were given the all clear but the Cruciate Ligament in her left back leg has gone. At 13¾ years old we won't put her through surgery, in fact when younger she damaged the same thing in her right back leg and that healed with anti inflammatory meds, so that's what she is having along with being carried to the garden & back for as long as it takes to heal.

Other Mrs.BB summed her up perfectly...given the whiff of food, she would do exactly the same thing again with a poorly leg! Needless to say we are being extra careful.

Blip is a very Zen looking Catto on some bunting in the Vets waiting room.
