Wild Cat

Following on from Tuesday’s theme, today was another crazy busy day at work. Non-stop.

I briefly spoke with my sister and we agreed that we didn’t know what everyone’s problem was: it’s August, shouldn’t everyone be on holiday?!

It didn’t help that it was such a beautiful day, but at the end of it, I had resolved to get out on the paddle board for the first time this year and make the most of this weather.

I was delighted to find that I can inflate the smaller of the two boards we have and squeeze it into the back of the van. This makes things so much easier and quicker. I can literally park up by the side of any lake and be on/in the water in seconds, so today I opened for my favourite lake: Coniston.

I then headed back down the lake and berthed at Wild Cat Island (Swallows & Amazons anyone?) to take this shot and grab a snack. It was glorious and I sat there quite happily for a while before going with the flow back up the lake to the van.

Because I was in and out quite quickly, there was even time at the end of the day to watch a film, so I opted for Blackberry, the story of the eponymous device, which was very well done and definitely worth a look.

Not a bad effort for hump day!
