Kapow!!

My landladies live in the house behind the stricken tree. During the wild thunderstorm a couple days ago, Amy had just walked in the house when this tree was hit by lightening and exploded. Rainie saw the hit. Holy Cow!!!! I'm sure this is very tidied up from a couple days ago. There were some other trees that were hit in town. I was coming back from Mom's and swung by so I could get a blip.
We made some good progress today. I was determined to get some closets completely cleared and I did. Mom did a lot in the kitchen. The trickiest thing I did today was get their very unfriendly cat in the carrier. I had a thick coat on and fireplace gloves. I missed him the first time and then finally cornered him in the bathroom. He was making such a terrible noise. I'm so glad I got him though. They never would have.
I'm hopeful we will have it ready for the cleaners next Tuesday. Mom will take a couple days and stay in town. I will go back out on Friday and Saturday and then I'm taking a couple days off. School starts for teachers next Wednesday.
