for whatever reason - there haven’t been - very many butterflies around - the garden this season - it seems as though - it alternates now - last year they were - more plentiful and this - year we are back - to scarcity with them - it’s quite bewildering

at any rate - when i happen to - spy one flitting through - the flowers i feel - as if i’m on high alert - trying to trail after it - to get it a snap or two - this one however i literally - stumbled upon and almost - thought - it might be dead - it was so still - but then i saw it - quiver and there was hope - it does have some - battle scars yet still beautiful - in my mind - i believe it’s a painted lady - and she has made it…
