Back to the day job...

The Saturday before last young Nathan Barnwell was acting as a substitute fielder for England in the test match against India. He has certainly never played in a bigger match nor in front of such a big crowd as the 28 thousand who were packed into the Oval that day.

Today Nathan was back in a Surrey shirt playing in a One Day Cup match against Glamorgan. The crowd may have been smaller (around 6000), but not only did he get to show off his fielding prowess, this time he was able to demonstrate his ability as a frighteningly quick bowler. Nobody looked comfortable facing him, and he picked up three important wickets in his ten overs - hopefully one day he might be back doing the same thing for England
