Back to our bathing spot

Last week when we saw the long range weather forecast, we were determined to return to the wonderful bathing spot on the River Whiteadder that we first visited a month ago on 11th July 2025. Today was the day for our trip, and what a fabulous day it has been.

We left Edinburgh at 09:25 and reached the 'beach' at 10:40 for six hours or so of swimming, sunbathing, reading, chatting, and picnicking. We had the whole place to ourselves for most of this time. In total, just four parties shared this marvellous spot today, the others all arriving after 14:00.

I have blipped Mr hazelh lowering himself into the 'hot tub', with a shot of our spot on the 'beach' as an extra.

Exercise today: one hour on the exercise bike; river swimming.
