The Neighbours‘ Pool

Usually, I‘m not envious of our neighbours‘ tiny swimming pool, but today it would have been nice to cool off in it. We could watch the sky change its colour from blue (upper right) to grey (main photo) during the day, as hotter air full of Sahara dust moved in from the south; and our area has a dark purple weather warning for „extreme heat“ of over 35°C. 

Thankfully, we live close enough to the forest that it didn’t get quite as hot here (33,5°C), but some places in the city centre and down by the river are currently broiling at 36°C in the shade. 

I am a little worried for P, who chose today to meet a friend at the (outdoor)  wine festival in town. No way I would have gone there at 4 p.m.
