Wednesday...

Well it's hot today - but as there is a strong breeze, it's all fine. Out for a walk a bit later than intended but fine in the heat and the breeze. 31C in my car on the way home!

This gorgeous kestrel was just sitting in the sun on a bale which probably has a few holes in it by now.

Yesterday I decided to buy some tofu - I've never cooked it before and as I'm trying to eat less meat (not a big meat eater anyway) I thought I'd try some. After a google, the Aldi tofu was highly recommended. Off to Aldi I went and in the tofu bit, there was only one smoked one left & so I thought it must be nicer than the plain one & so I bought it.

I don't think I'll buy it again as it has SUCH a strong smoked flavour which quite put me off. Nice texture etc but I don't think it absorbed the flavours of my homemade tomato sauce very well. All I could taste was the smoky flavour - texture good though. I'll give the normal one a go next time.
