Well, I'm resorting to the little mini ipad because the DSLR is broken (crisis!) only one week into holidays. Not in Glasgow long enough to get it sent away for repairs. May just be best off posting the damn thing home and making do. :-(

Still, perhaps if I'm forced to use the mini it means I might be more on the ball with keeping the diary up to date?

On the touristy front, did the rounds of the Cathedral and the necropolis, a token investigation of the people's palace (oh, all right, we had a cup of tea and a biscuit in the cafe, dissed the moses-in-the-bullrushes plants in the garden and that was about it), and rambled around Glasgow uni making cooing noises at various buildings and scaring off obnoxious American and Italian tourists by adopting our best nasal Australian accent and saying 'sheet hey mate, look at that/ strewth cobber, that's a dinki-di proper building' as loudly as possible, as often as possible.
