Stewart

One of the local lesser blackbacks (Larus fuscus). To be honest, we have no idea if it's always the same one, but it seems to have claimed the territory that includes the bin behind the Chinese restaurant as well as the car park. Meles calls him Stewart because he reminds her (in voice and habits) of an old friend of ours from our much lamented local pub... ;)

Anyway, he spent most of today picking little things off the cobbles, I suspect it may have been emerging flying ants (although those at the allotment swarmed a few weeks ago, so maybe not)

Otherwise, the day was spent with bones again....my blip was either this or a 400 year old metacarpal from a spavined donkey. Some choice!
