Spooky
This toy has a habit of switching itself on and making noises to spook me. But it is one of Little Miss A’s favourites and we had fun with it today.
Got up early to say goodby to K who went home to Oz today. TSM took her to Heathrow.
Part of selling a house in this day and age is having an energy performance certificate or EPC. I arranged for us to get one which involves an on-site survey and I was told that the surveyor would come between 12 and four today which worked out well for me as I had the dentist at 10:25. Except that the surveyor phoned at 9 o’clock to say he would be with me within the hour. After some to-ing and fro-ing we settled on 11.30. He turned out to be as clueless as Mr Bean so I had to go through every room and every document with him.
At least my dentist appointment went fine.
It was so hot - thirty degrees and no breeze - that I took a proper siesta at lunchtime then spent the afternoon sorting out mortgages and surveyors.
The evening was dominated by cat hunting as Henry decided to go off grid; we eventually got him in rather late so I treated myself to a glass of wine afterwards. That was when the toys started self activating. Never a dull moment in this house …
