After The Storm

We were expecting Storm Floris today. With an amber weather warning, and advice not to travel if it wasn’t necessary, I decided to work from home. The first time I haven’t been in the office for ages.

I was up and out early for my pre-work walk. I went on my usual route, but added on an extra  bit, as I had time, and although it was raining it wasn’t very windy.

From my vantage point in the kitchen, I could see that the weather improved in some ways, as the rain went off and it was a very bright and sunny day, but the wind got stronger and stronger.

TT had a GP appointment this morning,  and walked down. He regretted having to walk back, and decided to drive back down to collect his prescription.  

I didn’t go out of the house during the day, but BB and I went for a walk after tea. It was still very windy. Hopefully it will have died down by tomorrow. This is a picture from our walk this evening.
