Time Passes
This was the entrance to the slipway at Beesands in South Devon. Beyond lies Start Bay.. The slipway has been damaged by the storms and is now buckled and broken. To the left lies Torcross and to the right is Hallsands. Torcross has been the victim of violent storms in the past and the village of Hallsands was almost entiely washed away in a great storm. The beam from the lighthouse at Start Point once swept across the Bay at night, but now is just a flash from an LED light. Fisherman still go out for crabs and lobster, but the pilchards from another age have gone. An octopus drawn in by rising sea temperatures lays in wait. An alcove in the simple church on the shore has a lobster pot and models of two fisherman in traditional stormwear (see extra).
