Cupolas

Yesterday, there was much discussion of these two cupolas, now completely blocked off, which are in the ceiling of the lecture theatre at the RSE. To my knowledge, I had never actually looked over the back of the RSE buildings until today, and it was quite an eye opener. Not very attractive!

Anyway, I've posted this as my blip photo not for its merit, but as a record for myself.

Today was ridiculously hot. As I woke up tired, hot and bothered, things haven't improved that much during the day, although with all the windows and doors open in the flat now, it's not too bad. I went out on Princes Street to meet TJO for lunch at Contini's in the National Gallery, and I thought I was going to fry. Later on, about 5.30pm, I went for a drink further along George Street with OT (who sends greetings to RB13). It was still too bloody hot then.....

I am pleased I'm escaping the heat tomorrow to go back north. It's been an interesting few days in Edinburgh, but city life can be overrated for a small town person like me.
