It's been hot

Welly walk is getting busy and you have to book well in advance. The dogs love lillyponds but there isn't much shade, I kept the distance I travelled to a minimum so Dina didn't travel too much ground. They didn't seem to notice the heat too much, charging around the field. I made several stops at the lake, Dina did her pretend swimming, but Keely actually went out of her depth and retrieved a stick (I didn't react quickly enough to get a photo) Later Keely jumped up on the old photographic horse jump, as if to say "we always have our photo taken her" Dina obliged and the photo taken.
Despite the heat I wanted to go for a training run waited until 2pm, after downing 2 pints of water and carrying some water with me, set off on a "I walk Cornwall" circular 4.25 mile walk from my village. The breeze wasn't as good as I thought it would be and when I hit the off road part up to the De Lank quarry on the moor I was reduced to a walk. The hills and rough terrain kept me walking for quite a while. Once I got up onto the moor running became easier again.
Photos show the quarry and the Jubilee Rock en route. Two pints of iced water when I got home and a cool shower and back to normal
