Back to the Kelpies.

This morning we risked traffic chaos to go to the Kelpies for our usual walk. The Gas Board are doing some very major and essential repair work which will apparently take up to eight weeks to complete. However, when we arrived at the scene there was only a couple of minutes delay and on the return journey it was just three or four minutes extra. I suspect this will change drastically when our schools return tomorrow!
A feathered surprise awaited us at the Kelpies, a young heron was paddling in the moat surrounding one of the big horses heads. Never seen that before.
What a super toasty day, wall to wall sunshine, no wind to speak of and up to 26C, according to the car dashboard.
