NOT the same.

      Quelle surprise.  I always assumed (Makes an Ass out of U & me)/presumed that Montbresia was either a relative, or a precursor of Crocosmia; until I searched for it today.
      Now, it depends where I looking implied no relation whereas another said  "Montbretia and crocosmia are closely related plants, both belonging to the family Iridaceae.
Taxonomy
Genus: Both montbretia and crocosmia are classified under the genus Crocosmia.
Species: Montbretia typically refers to Crocosmia x crocosmiiflora, a hybrid species."

       However, I know not whence they came. Must have sneaked in with some top-soil; but it's here however it did it.
