A New Landmark

For those of you that drive through the West Midlands on the M6 you have a new landmark to look out for as you pass junction 9 for Wednesbury.

I'm sure you will have an opinion; i've got to be honest and say I wonder which planner thought it was a good idea to have this chequerboard of red, white and grey next to one of the busiest sections of motorways in the country.

I suppose there may be some method in the madness. I mean, often people on the motorway are stationary at this point, it might be a welcome distraction!
