Thistles ....

...seem to have had a big year and now, as they come to an end, they are shedding their gossamer fluff and seeds everywhere.
It was 31° yesterday and last night was very hot and sweaty, 3 minutes of rain closed the bedroom windows but did not cool things down.  I have just read that an amber warning has been issued for heat (34°) and pollution in London today, how unpleasant.
